Upcoming Releases
j. of the looks to be busy in 2026 and beyond.
Here’s a list of what is on the road map. More details (tracklists, dates, and release notes) are coming as each musical chapter unlocks.
The Initial Tracks
j. of the lives in the gap between musical points of view: hook-forward songs that can be intimate or cinematic, weird or widescreen—always anchored by melody and story.
Below are early previews of three tracks from the upcoming j. of the release – ‘Holed Up, Wait a Minute.’
"All Day"
Written just before the pandemic, “All Day” began as a tribute to Ric Ocasek and became a love letter to Joel’s wife—proof that j. of the can switch palettes without losing the hook.
"Tonight"
Strings, an 808 tuned to the bassline, and a full-on cinematic swing. Prince is a guiding influence here (with a nod to Wendy & Lisa in the chorus guitars), while the vocal melody drifts between punk bite and dream-pop lift.
"Sing Out"
A heartfelt message to a younger self—like Talking Heads pushed through a Marshall stack. Uplifting, uptempo, and built for the room.
